Youth Ministry

Overview (Grades 6–12)

Grace Redeemer’s Youth Ministry is designed to be Christ-centered, gospel-driven, student-focused, and family-oriented. We do this by teaching and applying God’s Word, reflecting on and being missional with the good news of the Gospel, prioritizing relational engagement and partnerships with parents and youth leaders, and forming a loving and welcoming community. Our Middle School students enjoy fun and engaging lessons directly from scripture, opportunities to serve and worship, and participate in retreats. Our High School students engage in the Word and in worship, have rich community through events and retreats, are discipled in our discipleship groups or mentoring, and serve on an annual mission trip.

Bible Study | Sunday School Hour | 9:45-11:00 AM

Our Youth Sunday School begins with fellowship at 9:45 AM before moving into grade-based classes from 10:00–11:00 AM. Each week, students read, reflect on, and discuss a chapter of Scripture. Together we seek to grow in biblical understanding of how all of Scripture points to Christ, deepen a relational love for God, and consider how to apply His truth in everyday life. Our prayer is that they would not only grow to love Jesus and His Word more deeply but also learn how to study it for themselves and live it out faithfully.

Youth Group | Friday Nights | 7:30-9:00 PM

Every Friday night includes fellowship, games, musical worship (every other week) and studying God’s Word through small groups, and discipleship groups that help students live out their faith in daily life. Through these times, they discover in the truth of Scripture, see how their stories fit into the greater story of Christ, and learn to share their hope in Him with others. We also host First Fridays for middle school and, beginning in December, First Saturdays for high school—social gatherings with a short devotional that create a comfortable environment for friends from other faith backgrounds to ask questions, experience Christian community, and hear about Jesus.

Retreats & Missions

Each February we partake in a Presbytery-wide winter retreat with worship, teaching, and fellowship. High school students also take part in a summer mission trip, alternating each year between national and international locations. Middle school students join in a diaconate mission “stay,” living at the church for a week while serving alongside our diaconate partners in local ministry.
