The need for food assistance remains high across our region and continues to grow. The purpose of Father’s Cupboard (FC) is to provide relief through food and related dry goods to underserved individuals and families every two weeks at our current church location. We are an open pantry and seek to continue to provide help whenever needed.
Father’s Cupboard has been in operation helping out the food insecure since 1994. The church that housed the pantry closed its doors but we are now continuing its mission in feeding recipients within our community.
We envision a community in which everyone has access to sufficient and nutritious food and our mission is to love our neighbor and help the food insecure with programs that provide food, promote nutrition, increase self-sufficiency, and instill hope. In doing so, Father’s Cupboard will continue to ensure that food relief has a more meaningful, enduring impact.
To accomplish our mission, we will want to make certain that our recipients are properly cared for but we also understand that this may be an opportunity for us to grow in many ways through a network of community organizations by engaging them to come together in the fight to help the food insecure making certain to do everything possible to help keep our recipients fed. Join us and help fulfill GRC’s Vision. It is our hope that because of our service, kindness, love, and by building bridges of relationships with others we can provide well-needed help and hope in today’s uncertain environments.
