Was it surprising? Did it change the way you think?
Or was it something you wanted to be true but didn’t dare hope?
The Christian word “Gospel” literally means “good news.” We believe it’s actually the best news. It makes sense of our lives and world, and it offers hope and peace and purpose. And this “good news” is rooted in the reality of Jesus Christ.
Christianity Explored is a seven-session discussion group that gives people the time and space to think about the big questions of life and to explore the life of the man at the heart of the Christian faith. As they explore Mark’s Gospel, people find out who Jesus is, why he came, what it means to follow him, and what difference all of this can make in their lives.
You don’t need to know anything about the Bible. You can ask any question you like, or you can just sit and listen. Whoever you are, whatever you’re thinking, CE is a place for you to explore what life’s all about. It might just be the best news you’ve ever heard.
During this time of social distancing, we will be offering Christianity Explored through Zoom video conference. The course will involve logging in to your computer or tablet to watch a brief video, read a section of the Bible from the Gospel of Mark, and engage in discussion around what you’ve heard and think. For those who are interested, there is suggested reading and reflection during the week to dig deeper.
